Clean animal areas and enclosures

Clean the rodent housing and the support rooms today. Strip bedding, disinfect cages, replenish water and feed, and log the start and finish times on the cleaning register so animal welfare can audit by Monday; check the supply cabinet for bleach and autoclaved bedding before you begin.

Before I hand this to the facility coordinator, make the cleaning instruction easier to follow: show the three critical infection-control steps first, put the PPE list up top, and highlight any actions that require an IACUC sign-off so the coordinator can approve and schedule quickly.

During routine cleaning one cage change likely shifted a behavioral observation window and the PI is angry. I'm the animal care lead and afraid they'll demand study suspension. Tell me whether to report the deviation as an incident, offer to repeat the observation, or propose a statistical fix; include likely regulatory consequences and the wording to use with the PI and the IACUC.

On three different study weeks we fell behind on morning checks because techs were pulled to setup for necropsy, and claims of 'one-off' keep happening. I manage scheduling and I want a single behavioral change that will stop this recurring lapse, and a practical enforcement step that respects staffing limits.
