Don’t enter customer data into public AI tools unless your shop policy allows it. Keep a copy of original diagnostic readings and document every test and repair in the shop controller or maintenance files for warranty and liability reasons.
Learn basic systems: brakes, steering and suspension (alignments), electrical (ignition, lights), and routine maintenance (oil, filters). Practice reading wiring diagrams and using a multimeter. Get comfortable with diagnostic scanners and wheel-balancing machines.
