Paint and refine layer masks

I need the subject’s jacket edge softened but precise. Paint onto the layer mask to remove the background bleed and keep texture on the fabric. Use a soft brush for transitions and a hard brush for cut lines, work on a mask clipping group if needed, and stop when the seam looks natural at 100% zoom. Tell me when you reach a point I should inspect at 200% for haloing.

Before I finalize the mask painting for the catalog, surface the risky decisions that will make a reviewer hesitate: highlight any areas you had to switch brush hardness frequently, flag parts you cloned or painted instead of masking, and add a comment on layers where color spill was manually removed. Make the painted mask easy for the client’s retoucher to continue from.

I accidentally brushed away an eyebrow while cleaning the mask; at 100% it reads as a hard paint edge. I’m worried this will be noticed by the art director. What’s the quickest, least destructive fix to rebuild the eyebrow detail and blend it into the existing mask so it reads natural at 200%?
