Create mockups and templates

We need a client-ready apparel mockup for Tuesday’s review. Place the high-res garment photo on the template, resize the artwork layer to the chest area to match the pattern repeat, clip it to the shirt layer, add a natural multiply shadow on the seams, and export three PNGs: flat, worn mannequin front, and worn mannequin three-quarter, all 2000 px wide. Verify alignment and that the artwork repeats correctly on both side seams before exporting.

Before I share templates with the brand team, make the approval fast and fail-safe. Build a smart template where artwork drops into a named layer called Artwork, auto-matches the garment’s perspective with a clipping group, shows an on/off proof overlay of pattern repeat and seam alignment, and includes a top-line note: exact print scale and bleed. Flag any artwork that exceeds our 3% scale tolerance.

I placed the client logo into the sleeve template and now the artwork looks distorted on the curved seam. The brand manager expects mockups by end of day and I can’t reshoot. I don’t know whether to flatten perspective, edit the sleeve path, or send a note asking for vector adjustments. Which option preserves client intent fastest and how do I execute it without breaking the template?
