Set export presets

Create and save a reusable export preset for social deliverables: 1080x1080, H.264, VBR 2-pass, target bitrate 6 Mbps, max 10 Mbps, AAC 256 kbps, normalize audio to -2 dB, name the preset Social_1080_SQR_6mbps, and add a short description 'Instagram feed standard' so editors can apply it quickly.

Before I share these presets with the team, make them approval-ready: show the key differences from our broadcast presets, surface expected file size and typical upload time, include the exact audio normalization and a note on when not to use this preset (for example, if the master needs 24-bit audio). Flag settings that could cause client complaints.

I just saved an export preset labeled 4K_Delivery but the exports are coming out at 1920x1080. The client, Marco, expects true 4K masters by Friday. I don’t know whether I mis-specified the sequence settings or the preset captured source scaling. What’s the likely cause and what exact steps do I take to fix the preset and re-export correctly without losing metadata or custom naming conventions?

Every project I end up rebuilding similar export presets for different channels and I waste time troubleshooting mismatched settings on other editors’ machines. Which habits and a small shared preset library structure will stop duplication, ensure everyone uses the right preset, and keep versioning and descriptions accurate?
