Record and add voiceover

I recorded a short explainer for Instagram and need that voiceover added to the cut. Put the new clip at the 0:05 mark, align it to the footage of me speaking, trim any silence at the start, and listen through to confirm lipsync feels natural before exporting a draft for review tomorrow morning.

Before I drop this voiceover into the timeline, make it easy for a reviewer to confirm it’s the final take: label the track with the date and ‘VO-final’, surface waveform peaks so they can spot pops, and mute other tracks while the VO plays so producers can judge tone and sync quickly.

I just imported two voiceover takes and I can’t tell which to use. The editor is Sam, deadline is tomorrow morning, and the brand needs a calm, conversational tone. I’m worried one take sounds breathy and the other is word-perfect but a little flat. What’s the fastest way to pick the right take and what should I listen for to avoid a second re-record?
