Replace background with image/video

Replace the studio background with the campaign image file and keep the presenter’s head and shoulders crisp from 00:00:05 to 00:00:25. Match the scale so the background fills the frame in both landscape and portrait crops, add a 0.6% contrast boost to the background to match the shot, and render a 1080p review with the presenter center-left as the designer requested.

Before I hand this composite to marketing, make the background swap approver-friendly: surface two crops (16:9 and 9:16) showing how the subject sits, put the new background’s brightness and color delta up top, flag any frames where limbs intersect foreground edges, and note if a shadow or rim light needs adding to sell depth.

I swapped in the campaign backdrop and at 00:00:10 the subject’s shoulder looks pasted because the background has a darker band there. I don’t know if a soft shadow or a slight exposure lift on the subject is less risky for approval. Which fix will most likely read natural to the brand team and how do I preview both quickly?

We keep getting notes that replaced backgrounds look fake and cost rounds of revision. Where do we lose believability — bad color match, no shadows, or wrong focal scale — and what one routine during compositing would cut revisions and lift perceived quality?
