Conduct underwater surveys

I need the dive log and survey report for the shallow reef survey completed yesterday — assemble the dive times, species counts, GPS track, and the diver signatures into one file for the permit officer. Check that the depth profiles match the recorded bottom times and that the safety officer, Mark Turner, has signed off before I forward it by Tuesday.

Before I file the underwater survey with the regulator, make it easy for them to trust the findings — surface total effort and total individuals counted on page one, make species abundance and uncertainty findable, and flag any dives where visibility or equipment failures would make a reviewer hesitate.

We completed the reef survey but during the third quadrant visibility fell and the lead diver aborted.
