I need to submit the draft patent disclosure and lab notebook summary for the new compound by Wednesday. Send the disclosure to Dr. Moreno in chemistry and then to the patent counsel, in that order, with Tuesday evening for internal review. Confirm the synthetic route diagrams are complete, the yield and safety notes are present, and any prior-art references are cited before sending.

Before I hand this synthetic route to patent counsel, make it easy for them to say it’s novel: summarize the inventive step up front, show the key reaction conditions and yields in a single table, mark which steps rely on proprietary catalysts, and highlight any safety hazards that could affect patentability or commercialization decisions.

A collaborator emailed claiming the reported yield for batch C7 was calculated incorrectly and that could undermine novelty claims. Patent counsel and Dr. Moreno are waiting on my final text. I don’t know whether the lab note revision will change the disclosure materially and I’m afraid of delaying the filing window. What is the best immediate move: correct quietly, add a note, or pause and re-run the assay?
