Surveying methods

I need a clean, single-document summary of the survey methods we actually used at Lake Harrow last month — combine the transect descriptions, equipment lists, and sampling intervals so Priya in Research can sign off. Make sure the sampling locations are named exactly as on the field sheets, include who collected each sample, and confirm chain-of-custody notes before I send it Friday.

Before I share this methods section with the review panel, make it easy for them to verify we followed protocol — put the sampling frequency and detection limits at the top, list deviations from the standard operating procedure in bold, and flag any missing instrument calibration records that would make a reviewer hesitate.

We did three transects at Lake Harrow on June 2 and I handed Priya the draft methods document, but she just noticed a missing sample from transect C and asked me to explain. I don't know whether the team actually skipped it in the field or we lost the label in the transfer. Tell me the most likely causes with signs to look for on our field sheets and the clearest next move so I can answer Priya truthfully and avoid blame.
