Split clip into two parts

Split the 00:00:20 Beach_4 clip at 00:00:08 so we have a first segment for b-roll and a second for the main shot. Name the two resulting clips Beach_4_A and Beach_4_B and arrange them consecutively in the timeline so I can apply different color grades.

Before I split Beach_4, show a frame-by-frame view around 00:00:08 and highlight any visible action or audio transient at that point. Recommend the precise split frame that preserves continuity and note whether a 1–2 frame overlap or crossfade would prevent a visual jump for a smoother cut.

I split Beach_4 at 00:00:08 but playback shows a tiny visual stutter at the cut. I’m not sure whether the split landed mid-motion or the timeline needs a render. Which diagnostics should I run first—check frame alignment, preview at full resolution, or render that section—and what’s the fastest fix that won’t change the intended timing?
