Send a chat message

Before I send chat messages to a class, make them easier to act on: surface the number of recipients, let me bold or pin the first line as the summary, and warn me if my message will be sent to external guests or only in-meeting participants.

I just wrote a long clarification in the meeting chat but I'm unsure whether attendees who join later will see it or whether external guests will get copied. I can't risk students missing a change. How can I confirm the scope of this chat message and, if needed, make sure everyone—including late joiners and external attendees—gets the update quickly?

I frequently send important notes into the meeting chat and later discover some students or parents didn't receive them or joined late. This fragments communication and forces repeat announcements. What habit, message format, or default should I adopt so critical updates reach everyone reliably the first time?
