For the quarterly report slide deck, link the sales chart to the spreadsheet 'Q3 Sales Master' so numbers update automatically. Insert the chart on slide 2, set it to refresh from the sheet titled 'RegionalTotals', and leave a note that it pulls live data so reviewers know not to edit the chart in the slide deck.

Before I share the deck with district finance, make the spreadsheet link trustworthy — surface the last update timestamp near the chart, show the source sheet name, and flag any cells in the sheet that use manual overrides. If the link would break on export, propose a fallback: a static snapshot slide with a note about when it was taken.

I linked the slide chart to the regional totals sheet but the numbers still show last week's totals. Finance will read this as stale and question my process.
