Replace an image

Slide 9’s current photo looks dated. Replace the image with the newer field-trip photo named FieldTrip2026_Crop.jpg from the shared drive, match the existing crop and 1:1 frame, and make sure the caption below reads: Field trip to Riverbank, March 2026. Confirm speaker notes still reference the new image.

Before I hand this to the class, make the image swap reviewer-friendly: preview the slide in place to ensure no text shifts, verify the new photo’s composition matches the original so layout doesn’t break, check caption and alt text updated, and flag if the new image requires permission notes for student faces.

I just replaced the photo on the alumni slide but the caption and notes still say ‘Botanic Garden, 2022’ while the image is from the Riverbank trip. The communications lead will expect accuracy on Monday and I haven’t told them. I don’t know whether the mislabel will cause a credibility problem or whether a quick caption fix is enough. Should I update the caption and add a short note in speaker notes explaining the swap, or also email communications to preempt any questions?

When images are replaced in shared presentations, captions and speaker notes often get left behind and we lose credibility in school communications. I want one habit to stop this. Should we add a short replacement checklist to the slide template, require the replacer to edit alt text and captions before saving, or train staff to leave a one-line log in speaker notes when they change images? Recommend one habit to adopt and the exact text to add to the template’s caption placeholder so no one can miss it.
