Resolve or reply to comments

Before I reply to Jordan’s comment on slide 12, make the answer easy to accept: summarize the exact change I will make, give the line I’ll add verbatim, and state when I will upload the revised slide so Jordan can resolve it without more back-and-forth.

Jordan commented that the example on slide 12 is confusing. I can do a quick reword or rewrite the whole example, but I’m unsure which he expects. I’m worried I’ll waste time doing the wrong thing and look slow. Should I ask him to choose between the quick fix or full rewrite, or pick one and state that I can expand if needed? Suggest the best single reply and the follow-up timeline.

Often I reply to comment threads thinking the issue is closed, yet reviewers reopen them or ignore my resolution. I’m not sure if I’m resolving too early, missing stakeholders, or failing to confirm understanding. What single change to my reply-and-resolve routine will reduce reopened threads: add explicit acceptance criteria in every reply, require verbal confirmation from the requester, or always attach the revised slide before resolving?
