Add an image gallery

Add an image gallery to the Product Updates page showing the last six screenshots in a 3-column grid on desktop and single-column swipe on mobile. Include lightbox so images enlarge, show captions for each image with the date and author, and lazy-load images to avoid slowing the page. Confirm accessibility with alt text for every image and that keyboard users can open the lightbox. Test on desktop and phone.

Before I add the gallery, make it simple for the reviewer: surface which six images will be used, the caption format, the column layout for desktop and mobile, whether the lightbox is keyboard accessible, and confirm lazy loading is enabled. Flag any images missing alt text or that are too large for web use and suggest resizing recommendations so approvers can sign off quickly.

I placed the gallery and thumbnails display, but clicking an image does nothing. I’m not sure if the lightbox script is missing, conflicts with the theme, or if image links are broken. I’m worried the launch will look unpolished. What’s the most likely reason and the three quickest tests to run to fix the lightbox before the stakeholder demo?

Across multiple posts I keep fixing image galleries that either break, load slowly, or neglect captions and alt text, costing hours. I think we lack rules for image sizing, a standard gallery component, and an upload checklist. What specific habits and a short standard (naming, size, caption template, default lightbox) should I adopt so galleries work and I stop redoing them?
