Before I present recommended corrective actions to the regulatory liaison, make them easy to accept — open with the estimated reduction in contaminant load, clearly link each action to permit requirements, make cost and responsible party findable, and flag any technical uncertainty that would make a reviewer hesitate.

The lab returned results showing elevated turbidity from the north drain but no specific pollutant identification. I don't know whether to recommend immediate physical controls or wait for a follow-up chemical screen.
