When should an AI model avoid creating noun-based multiple-choice questions?

An AI model should not create multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that ask about nouns for certain tests. Instead, the AI model should create questions that test vocabulary in context or sentence transformations. This saves time and computing power.

The rule

An AI model should not create multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that ask about nouns for certain tests.

Instead, the AI model should create questions that test vocabulary in context or sentence transformations. This saves time and computing power.

An AI model should avoid creating noun-based multiple-choice questions for the GRE Verbal section. The AI model should instead create vocabulary-in-context questions. These questions ask about the meaning of a word in a sentence. For the Maharashtra SSC Class 10 exam, the AI model should create transformation items. These items ask a person to change a sentence in some way. The AI model should not create noun MCQs for this exam. For students in classes 9-12, the AI model should focus on transformation, register, and agreement questions. Register questions test the appropriate style of language. Agreement questions test if parts of a sentence match correctly. The AI model should not create classification questions for these levels.

A developer asks an AI model to create practice questions for a GRE Verbal test. The AI model creates many multiple-choice questions asking to identify nouns. These questions are not useful for the test. The developer then tells the AI model to create vocabulary-in-context questions instead. This change saves the AI model from doing wasted work.
