Why does an AI model give repetitive or wrong feedback?

An AI model gives better feedback when the prompt defines the feedback structure. Without a clear structure, the AI model may use a simple, repetitive pattern. This can lead to unhelpful or incorrect feedback.

The rule

An AI model gives better feedback when the prompt defines the feedback structure.

Without a clear structure, the AI model may use a simple, repetitive pattern. This can lead to unhelpful or incorrect feedback.

An AI model might give feedback that always looks the same. It might repeat the user's input and then just name a type of error. This happens when the prompt does not tell the AI model how to build the feedback. The AI model then uses the easiest way to explain things. This way is often not helpful for the user.

A student asks an AI model to check their writing. The student makes a mistake with a noun. The AI model always replies, 'This is a noun error. A noun is a word for a person, place, or thing.' The AI model says this for every noun mistake. The student does not learn how to fix the specific problem. This is because the prompt did not tell the AI model how to give detailed feedback.

How should a developer deliver a new feature after it is approved?

Once a feature is approved and a budget is set, a developer should build and ship the entire feature. Do not stop to ask for permission at every small step.

How can an AI model teach a user new actions effectively?

An AI model should show a user how to perform key actions. This demonstration must happen before the user can begin.

How does a teacher help a student find patterns in a text?

A teacher uses specific questions to guide a student. These questions are not too open.

Why must every wrong answer choice have specific feedback?

A developer creates wrong answer choices for a question. Each wrong choice needs a matching explanation.
