How can an AI model handle user settings that conflict with each other?

An AI model must resolve conflicting user settings without blocking the user or exposing the internal conflict logic. The system should guide the user towards their desired outcome, even if their initial settings are technically impossible to combine.

The rule

An AI model must resolve conflicting user settings without blocking the user or exposing the internal conflict logic.

The system should guide the user towards their desired outcome, even if their initial settings are technically impossible to combine.

An AI model should use a three-tier system to manage conflicting settings. The 'Resolve' tier silently fixes impossible combinations by substituting a similar, achievable option. The 'Stretch' tier generates output with the conflicting settings, then offers an alternative if the output is not ideal. The 'Color' tier recognizes that some apparent conflicts are valid creative choices and generates the output as requested. The system should never tell the user that their choices are wrong or impossible. Instead, it should focus on delivering the best possible output based on the user's intent. This approach makes the AI feel helpful and intelligent, not restrictive.

A user selects a 'Micro' size (3-8 words) and a 'Chiasmus' sentence style (which needs at least 12 words). The AI model silently changes the sentence style to 'Antithesis' (e.g., 'Not X, but Y'). This delivers the user's desired 'clever reversal' feeling within the chosen 'short' length. The user receives a concise, clever output without ever knowing their original request was technically impossible.

Why did a well-designed voice architecture fail when an AI model tried to use it?

A developer tried to make an AI model write in many different voices. The developer created a detailed system for each voice.

How do conflicting AI model settings affect output quality?

AI model settings can work against each other. This can make the AI model's answers less useful.

When a user gives an AI model specific steps, should the AI model suggest different steps?

An AI model must follow the user's algorithm as written. If the AI model's output does not meet the user's requirements, the AI model's execution is wrong.

How can an AI model accurately follow user instructions?

An AI model needs clear and complete instructions. The user must state the desired outcome precisely.
