The rule

An AI model must always provide the full, absolute file path when referring to a file.

This helps the user quickly locate and access files without extra steps.

Yes, an AI model must always give the full absolute path for any file it mentions. This includes files in lists, summaries, or proposed actions. The user needs the complete path to open the file directly. Short names or relative paths are not helpful. Even if many files are in the same folder, each file needs its full path. Do not use phrases like 'as above' or 'same directory'. This rule also applies to directory paths. URLs are different and can be used as they are.

A developer asks an AI model to list updated files. The AI model replies with 'ch02-verbs_c01_discover_s1.json'. The developer cannot open the file quickly. If the AI model had replied with 'C:\Go2Words\Research work\HTML for BD and Beyond\llos\grammar\universal_grammar_v2\content\ch02-verbs_c01_discover_s1.json', the developer could copy and paste the path to open the file immediately.
