◆ AI Learning · Hard rule

How does an AI model remember lessons and apply them in new conversations?

An AI model learns from two types of stored information. One type records past interactions. The other type enforces rules for future behavior. Both are needed for an AI model to learn and change its actions.

The rule

An AI model learns from two types of stored information.

One type records past interactions. The other type enforces rules for future behavior. Both are needed for an AI model to learn and change its actions.

Recording a lesson and enforcing a rule are different actions. Recording saves information about a past event. Enforcing changes how the AI model acts in the future. An archive file stores past lessons. This file is saved on a computer's disk. It keeps the details of what happened. The AI model must be told to look at this archive. A rule file enforces behavior. This file loads automatically every time. It directly changes how the AI model responds. Rules in this file ensure the AI model acts correctly. Information only in a conversation will be lost. This happens when the conversation is too long. It also happens when the system clears old data. Only saved rules or archived lessons will remain.

A developer wants an AI model to always use a specific code format. The developer records the correct format in the archive file. The developer also adds a rule to the rule file. This rule tells the AI model to use a specific tool for formatting. If only recorded, the AI model might forget. With the rule, the AI model always uses the correct format.

What files should an AI model always read at the start of a work session?

An AI model must read `mistakes_and_lessons.md` first. This file contains rules learned from past problems.

How can an AI model create new designs that are high quality?

The AI model should first look at many examples of good designs. It needs to understand what makes these designs successful.

How can an AI model learn from its past actions and improve?

An AI model can use a reflection engine. This engine helps the AI model review its work.

How can an AI model use structural templates to improve text generation?

An AI model can analyze many good examples of text. It identifies common patterns in how words are arranged.
