An AI model's error messages must help the user.
The messages must not reveal how the system works. A developer must create a clear system for handling errors.
An error message should tell the user what went wrong. It should suggest how the user can fix the problem. The message should not give away details about the AI model's internal design. This protects the system's security. It also keeps the message simple for the user.
A developer creates an AI model for writing. The AI model has a problem with a user's request. The error message says, 'Cannot process request. Please check your input and try again.' It does not say, 'Database query failed on table 'user_prompts' due to invalid character encoding.' The first message helps the user. The second message reveals system details.
