How should an AI model use expressive shapes or icons?

An AI model must use a small, pre-selected group of expressive shapes. The AI model should not load a large collection of shapes at one time. This saves computer memory and makes the AI model run faster.

The rule

An AI model must use a small, pre-selected group of expressive shapes.

The AI model should not load a large collection of shapes at one time. This saves computer memory and makes the AI model run faster.

A large collection of expressive shapes exists. This collection is the main source. Each shape has a quality rating from 1 to 5. Each shape also has a size in bytes. An AI model should only use shapes with a rating of 4 or higher. The AI model should also only use shapes larger than 1000 bytes. This creates a smaller, more useful group of shapes. The AI model must create its own small list of shapes. It should not load the full, large collection. Loading the full collection uses too much computer memory. The AI model should match keywords to shapes. Keywords include the word, its context, and categories. Keywords are lowercased. Only keywords with 4 or more characters are used. The AI model can exclude names when picking shapes.

A developer is building an AI model for writing. The developer needs the AI model to add small pictures to its text. The developer loads only the high-quality, relevant shapes into the AI model's memory. If the developer loaded all shapes, the AI model would use too much memory and crash.

How does an AI model choose and use visual shapes to match text?

The AI model uses a special collection of visual shapes. These shapes are stored in two main files.

How can I create visual icons for business verbs?

A developer can create a visual language for business verbs. Each verb needs a minimalist SVG shape.

How can a designer make sure an object is easily recognized?

A designer must make an object recognizable in two seconds. This rule applies even when the object is small, like 64 pixels.

What should a designer do when an SVG or illustration looks wrong or has an unintended meaning?

If an SVG, illustration, or icon looks broken, strange, or means something unintended, do not keep changing the same design. The designer should choose a new idea that shows the same meaning.
