The rule

An AI model should not show information about the user's progress across many chapters or academies.

This information can confuse the user. The AI model should only show progress for the current page or unit.

An AI model should not show progress like 'Chapter 2 of 30'. This information is too broad. The user only needs this information when they ask for it. An AI model should not show progress like 'Grammar Academy is one of 5 academies'. This information is for a larger view. It does not belong inside a single chapter. An AI model should not show a 'section count' like '3 of 8'. This can confuse the user. A page counter already shows how much is left. Showing both pages and sections can be unclear. An AI model should never show 'estimated time remaining'. The page counter tells the user how much is left. This is the time signal the user wants.

A student is reading a lesson from an AI model. The AI model shows 'Page 5 of 10' at the bottom. This is helpful. The AI model also shows 'Chapter 2 of 15' and 'Grammar Course, Module 3 of 5'. This extra information distracts the student. The student only cares about the current page.

What is the difference between a dumb notification and an intelligent notification?

A dumb notification only states a fact. It does not help the user understand the fact.

How should an icon gallery modal display code?

The code viewer must be hidden by default. A user clicks a 'View Code' button to see it.

How should an AI model handle user names on certificates and badges?

An AI model must always display a name on a certificate. Before a user logs in, the certificate shows a placeholder name like 'Dedicated Wordsmith'.
