The rule

A person's difficulty is often a lack of a specific skill.

It is not a problem with the person's identity. Focusing on the skill makes the problem solvable.

Focus on the specific skill that is missing. Do not say the person has a general problem. This way, the problem seems easier to fix. The person will not feel ashamed.

A parent sees their child struggling to make friends. The parent does not say, 'My child is awkward.' Instead, the parent says, 'My child needs to learn how to join a game that has already started.' This makes the problem a skill to learn, not a personal flaw.

How does a person know if they are truly learning and improving, or just moving from one task to another?

A person learns best when they know their own weaknesses. This is called self-awareness.

How can an AI model help young users develop a growth mindset?

A growth mindset means believing that abilities can improve with effort. An AI model should avoid saying "Wrong!" Instead, the AI model can say "Not yet" or "Try another way." This teaches users that mistakes are part of learning.

How should an AI model respond when a user's answer is almost correct but not quite right?

An AI model should first acknowledge the user's reasoning. This shows the AI model understands the user's thought process.

How can a teacher help a student think about their language choices?

A teacher can use a metacognitive closer. This is a short question.
