◆ AI Learning · Hard rule

Why did a well-designed voice architecture fail when an AI model tried to use it?

An AI model's ability to follow complex instructions has limits. Even if a design is logically correct, the AI model may not be able to execute it well. Too many rules can make the AI model lose focus on the main task.

The rule

An AI model's ability to follow complex instructions has limits.

Even if a design is logically correct, the AI model may not be able to execute it well. Too many rules can make the AI model lose focus on the main task.

A developer tried to make an AI model write in many different voices. The developer created a detailed system for each voice. This system included many rules for how the AI model should write. The AI model could not follow all the rules and also focus on the main topic. The AI model spent too much effort on the rules. This made the AI model's writing less focused on the original text. The AI model also struggled to keep voices distinct across many examples. It often defaulted to common writing styles. This happened even when the rules were designed to make each voice unique. Soft rules, like 'apply only if needed,' did not work well. The AI model often ignored these conditions. Harder rules, like banning words, worked better but were not perfect.

A developer creates a new system for an AI model to write in 1500 different styles. Each style has 14 specific rules about rhythm, vocabulary, and sentence structure. The developer also tells the AI model to avoid certain words and to keep the output short. The AI model tries to follow all these rules. However, the AI model's writing becomes less about the original topic. Many of the 1500 styles start to sound similar. The AI model cannot manage all the complex instructions at once.

Questions people ask

How can an AI model handle user settings that conflict with each other?

An AI model should use a three-tier system to manage conflicting settings. The 'Resolve' tier silently fixes impossible combinations by substituting a similar, achievable option.

How can a developer make an AI model create more varied and less repetitive text?

A developer can design templates with 'slots' for variables. Each slot has a list of possible words or phrases.

Why did an AI model fail to follow many instructions, even if the instructions were good?

A developer gave an AI model many rules for generating text. The rules included specific styles, content bans, and structural requirements.

When a user gives an AI model specific steps, should the AI model suggest different steps?

An AI model must follow the user's algorithm as written. If the AI model's output does not meet the user's requirements, the AI model's execution is wrong.
