Bench work dominates my days as a toxicologist: I prepare and analyze organ, tissue, and cell samples using chromatography and mass spectrometry, standardize dosages and bioassays, and run controlled exposure experiments to quantify toxicokinetics and dose–response relationships. Routine tasks include protocol planning with teammates, instrument calibration and QA checks to prevent cross-contamination or instrument drift, and meticulous documentation of methods, raw data, and chain-of-custody before any internal review or public communication.
