What is an Education Technologist?
An Education Technologist integrates technology into learning environments to enhance teaching and student engagement. They design, develop, implement, and support educational technology solutions, ensuring they align with pedagogical goals and institutional objectives.
You split time between hands-on instruction using assistive technologies, establishing and enforcing classroom procedures, and preparing materials and lesson objectives. Much of the day is contact-heavy: conferencing with teachers, parents, and specialists to implement IEPs, observing student performance, and maintaining accurate student records and reports. Between lessons you adjust strategies and document progress so instructional choices are defensible and repeatable.

The path to get there
