Bulk delete unwanted files

Before I bulk-delete those marketing folders, surface any files with recent edits, any files shared externally, and any owned by the legal or finance team. Highlight large files and show which folders are synced to people’s devices so I don’t break someone’s offline copy. Flag anything with the word contract or invoice.

I removed three campaign folders and emptied trash; finance just told me the paid invoice was in one of them. I didn’t find it in trash. What’s most likely happened to that file, what immediate steps recover it if possible, and how do I prevent a repeat when deleting shared project folders?

We keep trashing files owned by other teams because we don’t check ownership and shared links before bulk deletes. What two habits should I change: one operational check before deleting a folder and one cross-team rule to stop accidental loss of finance or legal files?
