Format table cells

Format the table on slide 7 so the client can quickly read the SLA penalties. Use the table properties to left-align text in the first column, center the numeric penalty values, apply a 10-point font for rows and 12-point bold for the header, and set alternating row shading with the corporate blue at 10% opacity. Check that column widths are consistent with the adjacent chart slide and confirm there is no text overflow.

Before I send this SLA table to procurement, make it approval-friendly. Put the most critical penalty figures in the first visible column, add footnote markers for exceptions, convert verbose bullets into a single short phrase per cell, and highlight anything that increases the vendor cost. Call out anything that looks like a non-standard term that will slow sign-off.

I formatted the SLA table but now the penalty numbers wrap to two lines and the header font shrank on export. I’m worried reviewers will miss the figures. What probably caused the wrap — a fixed table width, cell padding, or font substitution — and what’s the quickest way to force single-line numbers and readable headers without redoing the slide template?

Every contract deck I spend thirty minutes reformatting penalty tables because fonts and padding reset when the deck is merged. It wastes time and makes legal question our rigor.
