Set conditional access policies

Before I push these conditional access rules globally, make them easy for the helpdesk and managers to approve: show the two or three user journeys that will be affected (remote contractor, executive on travel, service account), surface the failure modes that will lock users out, and recommend one progressive rollout order that minimizes business disruption.

We turned on a device-compliance conditional access pilot and five contractors reported they could not join client calls this morning. I don’t know whether the issue is the device enrollment or the policy scope. Contractors are billing by the hour and upset. What is the most likely cause and the fastest rollback or mitigation I should do right now to restore calls without opening security gaps?

We routinely create emergency conditional access bypasses during incidents and then forget to revoke them, widening access permanently. Recommend one habit and one dashboard or report to ensure temporary exceptions expire and to prove to auditors that overrides are time-limited and justified.
