Sync board with calendar

We must sync the client onboarding board with the company shared calendar so stakeholders see milestones. Set up a two-way sync between the onboarding board and the company calendar for all cards with onboarding in the title, ensure updates to due dates on either side propagate, and verify new calendar events include the card link. Confirm syncing works for the next seven days.

Before I announce the calendar sync to stakeholders, make the board-to-calendar integration easy to accept — surface the three most visible events that will appear externally, warn of any cards that will create duplicate events, and show which field in our board maps to the calendar description. Call out any limitations that would make a reviewer hesitate.

I just enabled sync between the onboarding board and the company calendar and now several events appear twice. I don’t know whether the duplicates came from an earlier export, a two-way sync loop, or users creating events manually. What is the most likely cause and what immediate steps stop the duplication without losing data?

Across multiple clients I repeatedly fix calendar duplication and mismatched due dates after I set up board syncs. Where am I consistently going wrong when I establish calendar syncs and what one change to how I configure mappings or educate teams would prevent most of these problems?
