I need to share my screen with the class for the next 25 minutes. Share my entire desktop to show the slide deck and the live code window, give control to Ravi when he asks, and stop sharing when the Q&A ends or at 11:15 a.m. — confirm I’m sharing the correct monitor first and that system audio is enabled for the video clip at 10:30.

Before I hit share with procurement, make it easy for them to follow: surface the slide title and current speaker in the shared view, make the document window front and center, mute notifications so sensitive headers won’t pop, and flag any spreadsheets with filtered rows that might confuse reviewers.

I just started sharing and people are telling me they see my email client instead of the slide deck. I’m meeting with five stakeholders including Maria who will question pricing; I’m afraid I left the wrong monitor selected and exposed sensitive inbox content. I don’t know whether to stop sharing and restart, or switch windows silently. What likely happened and what should I do now to recover cleanly and prevent this in future meetings?

Over the last month I keep wasting the first 10 minutes of client calls fumbling between monitors and accidentally showing private email or chats. It costs us credibility and forces awkward apologies. What habit should I adopt so my shared view is always ready, private material never appears, and the meeting starts on time?
