बहादुर बित्तो

बित्तो एक मेहनती औरत है जो अकेली रहती है। जब एक बाघ उसके घर आता है, तो वह घबराती नहीं। वह चतुराई से दिखावा करती है कि उसे बाघ खाना बहुत पसंद है, और डरा हुआ बाघ भाग जाता है। एक सियार बाघ को बताता है कि उसे मूर्ख बनाया गया है और दोनों अपनी पूँछें बाँधकर वापस आते हैं। पर बित्तो फिर से चिल्लाकर कहती है कि सियार ने दो बाघ लाने का वादा किया था, एक नहीं। डरा हुआ बाघ सियार को घसीटते हुए भाग जाता है। इस तरह बित्तो की बहादुरी और सूझबूझ उसे बचा लेती है।

Bitto is a hardworking woman who lives alone. When a tiger comes to her house, she does not panic. She cleverly pretends that she loves to eat tigers, and the frightened tiger runs away. A jackal tells the tiger it was tricked and brings him back, tying their tails together. But Bitto again outsmarts them by shouting that the jackal had promised two tigers, not one. The terrified tiger runs off, dragging the jackal with him. Bitto's bravery and quick thinking save the day.

The story shows that courage and cleverness are stronger than physical size and force; a brave, quick-thinking person can defeat even a powerful enemy without fighting.
