मन करता है

इस कविता में एक छोटा बच्चा अपने मन की कई प्यारी इच्छाएँ बताता है। बच्चा सूरज बनकर आसमान में दौड़ना चाहता है, चंदा बनकर तारों के बीच चमकना चाहता है, तितली बनकर फूलों के साथ खेलना चाहता है, कोयल बनकर मीठे गाने गाना चाहता है और नदी बनकर पर्वत से नीचे बहना चाहता है। पर अंत में बच्चा कहता है कि इन सब इच्छाओं के बदले में वह बस अपनी माँ को ही पाना चाहता है। इससे पता चलता है कि माँ का प्यार सबसे कीमती होता है।

In this poem, a small child shares many lovely wishes. The child wants to become the sun and run in the sky, the moon and shine among the stars, a butterfly to play with flowers, a cuckoo to sing sweet songs, and a river to flow down the mountain. But at the end, the child says that in place of all these wishes, he only wants his mother. This shows that a mother's love is the most precious thing of all.

Although a child has many beautiful dreams and wishes, his mother is dearer and more precious to him than everything else in the world.
