कौन?

इस कविता में वक्ता को पता चलता है कि कोई चुपके से रसोई में आकर गड़बड़ कर गया है—उसने खाना कुतर दिया, रोटी, चावल और दाल बिखेर दी और थैली काट डाली। यह नटखट जीव अपने नन्हे पैरों से चुपचाप चलता है और भाग जाता है। सारे संकेतों को देखकर वक्ता खुशी-खुशी अनुमान लगाता है कि यह शरारत करने वाली एक नन्ही चुहिया है।

In this poem the speaker finds that someone has secretly come into the kitchen and made a mess — nibbling the food, scattering roti, rice and lentils, and cutting open a bag. The little culprit moves quietly on tiny feet and runs away. After looking at all the clues, the speaker happily guesses that the naughty visitor is a tiny mouse.

The poem is a playful riddle that, through small clues, leads the reader to guess that a tiny mouse is the cause of the mischief in the kitchen.
