मुफ़्त ही मुफ़्त

एक आदमी दुकान पर जाता है और एक चालाक दुकानदार उसे एक टोपी 'मुफ़्त' में देने की बात कहता है। पर फिर दुकानदार उससे डिब्बे, डोरी, कागज़ और दूसरी चीज़ों के अलग-अलग पैसे ले लेता है। अंत में आदमी टोपी के असली दाम से भी ज़्यादा पैसे दे देता है। यह कहानी मज़ेदार ढंग से बताती है कि सच में कोई चीज़ मुफ़्त नहीं होती और हमें चालाक बातों से सावधान रहना चाहिए।

A man goes to a shop and a clever shopkeeper offers him a hat for 'free'. But the shopkeeper then charges him separately for the box, the string, the paper and other things. In the end the man pays even more than the hat's real price. The story shows in a funny way that nothing is truly free and that we should be careful of clever, tricky words.

Nothing comes truly free; clever words can trick us, so we must think carefully before believing them.
