पढ़क्कू की सूझ

पढ़क्कू, जो हमेशा किताबें पढ़ने के लिए जाना जाता था, अपने घोड़े पर यात्रा कर रहा था। वह एक पेड़ के नीचे आराम करने लगा और सोते समय उसका घोड़ा चोरी हो गया। अपनी चतुराई से उसने धमकी दी कि अगर घोड़ा नहीं लौटाया गया तो वह वही करेगा जो उसके पिता ने किया था। डरकर चोर ने घोड़ा लौटा दिया। पूछने पर पढ़क्कू ने बताया कि उसके पिता तो बस पैदल घर लौट आए थे — डरने की कोई बात ही नहीं थी। यह कहानी बताती है कि तेज़ दिमाग़ और चतुर बातें ताक़त से भी बेहतर ढंग से समस्या सुलझा देती हैं।

Padhakku, a man known for always reading books, was travelling on his horse. He rested under a tree and his horse got stolen while he slept. Using his cleverness, he threatened that he would do whatever his father had done if the horse was not returned. The frightened thief returned the horse. When asked, Padhakku revealed that his father had simply walked home on foot — there was nothing to fear. The story shows that a sharp mind and clever words can solve problems better than force.
