Your Math Journey
Chapter 20: Super Revision & Integration
This is it! The final adventure of Class 2 Mathematics. 🎉
But don't worry — you already know everything you need.
This journey is about putting it all together.
Riya Reflects
Riya sits with her notebook and smiles. 📓
"I've learned so much this year!"
Milo tilts his head. "Why this? What else could work?"
Those are the questions of a true mathematician. Not just answers — but choices.
Tap each card to remember what you can do!
Look at each situation. Decide: What math helps here?
Only after you decide will the numbers appear!
No labels here! Read the story, choose the operation, and solve.
💡 Keywords to listen for:
"total", "altogether", "in all" → Add
"left", "remaining", "gone", "fewer" → Subtract
"groups of", "each", "times" → Multiply
If you understand equal groups and skip counting, tables become easy.
🔢 Equal Groups & Arrays
1️⃣ What do I measure? (length, weight, or capacity)
2️⃣ What unit? (cm, m, kg, L...)
3️⃣ What tool? (ruler, balance, jug...)
4️⃣ Estimate first! Then measure.
Step 1: What type of measurement?
💡 Remember:
📏 Ruler for length (cm, m)
⚖️ Balance for weight (g, kg)
🥛 Jug/Cup for capacity (mL, L)
• Planning your day
• Knowing what comes before and after
• Checking "Do I have enough time?"
• Understanding how long things take

Questions & Answers
I know what to do
What does being ready for Class 3 mean?
It means you can read a situation and choose a sensible method. It does not mean knowing every answer by heart.
What are the big ideas of Class 2?
Place value, adding and subtracting with regrouping, equal groups, measuring, time, money and reading data. Everything else grows from these.
How do I decide which method to use?
Picture the situation first. The picture tells you whether things join, leave, repeat or split.
What if I get stuck on a problem?
Make it smaller. Try the same question with tiny numbers. Once you see the method, put the real numbers back.
Is it fine to use drawings and counters?
Yes. Good mathematicians use models all their lives. Models are thinking tools, not training wheels.
How do I stop careless mistakes?
Estimate before you calculate and check after. Most careless mistakes are caught by a quick sense of the size of the answer.
What is coming in Class 3?
Bigger numbers, multiplication and division in more depth, fractions and more measuring. All of it rests on place value.
What should I remember most?
Understand before you speed up. If you can explain why, you can rebuild the how whenever you forget it.
