Any name via

Every name gets a full card — meaning, legacy, sound, images, values.

Every name is a story someone chose to keep telling. Twenty-five are curated by hand across five worlds — and any name you search opens like a letter: its literal meaning, its legacy, its exact sound, the images that defend it.

How a card is built

three disciplines

1 · The root, kept literal

The meaning is the root translation and nothing more — Pawan is wind; the purifier, in ten words or fewer. The legacy line carries the single most important cultural fact, not a list. No embellishment, no superlatives.

2 · The sound, exact

Syllable blocks you can say — Luck-shmee — kept close to the source language, never over-anglicised, plus the full IPA for precision. The speaker button says it aloud from the syllable guide.

3 · The world, defended

Three to five images per name, each with a one-sentence defense naming the exact mechanism — why the lotus, why the bow. Popularity is a label with a specific reason, never a rank. Values are written as stances, not adjectives.

Questions readers ask

Why are twenty-five names special?
These twenty-five are curated by hand — every meaning, legacy line, image defense and value stance was written and checked, not generated. Any other name you search is generated live under the same strict card rules and arrives wearing a plum "pending cultural review" tag until a human eye has checked it.
What makes the images more than decoration?
Each one carries a defense — one sentence naming the specific mechanism that ties it to the name. Lakshmi's lotus isn't a pretty flower; she stands on one in every depiction across three thousand years of art. Tap any image on a card to read its defense.
How is popularity measured?
By label only — Rare, Uncommon, Regional, Popular, Iconic — each with a one-sentence, name-specific justification. Never percentages, never rank numbers: a name is not a chart position.
Do the names I type go anywhere?
Searches over the curated twenty-five happen entirely on your device. If you look up a name beyond those, just that name is sent to our own server, which asks the language model you picked and keeps the finished card so the same name is never generated twice. Nothing else is sent or tracked.

The card is the door; the story is the room.
