शेखीबाज़ मक्खी

एक छोटी-सी मक्खी सोचती है कि वह बहुत ताकतवर और बहादुर है। वह बड़े जानवरों और गाड़ियों पर बैठकर शेखी बघारती है कि वही उन्हें दौड़ा रही है। सच में तो सारा काम बड़े जानवर करते हैं और मक्खी सिर्फ़ डींगें हाँकती है। कहानी सिखाती है कि हमें शेखी नहीं बघारनी चाहिए और दूसरों के काम का श्रेय नहीं लेना चाहिए।

A small fly thinks she is very strong and brave. She sits on big animals and carts and boasts that she is making them run. In truth, the big animals do all the work and the fly only shows off. The story teaches that we should not boast or take credit for what we have not done.

A boastful person who takes credit for others' work looks foolish.
