वे दिन भी क्या दिन थे

भविष्य पर आधारित यह कहानी एक दादाजी अपने पोते-पोतियों को सुनाते हैं। उनके समय में चाँद पर रहना, अंतरिक्ष-यान में उड़ना और खाने की गोलियाँ खाना बिलकुल आम बात है। वे बच्चों को बताते हैं कि पुराने दिनों में लोग धरती पर रहते थे, जहाँ हरे पेड़, नदियाँ, बारिश, बाग़ और घर का बना खाना हुआ करता था। बच्चे यह सुनकर हैरान होते हैं कि पहले जीवन कितना अलग था। यह सब याद करके दादाजी खुशी से कहते हैं, 'वे दिन भी सचमुच बहुत अच्छे दिन थे।' यह कहानी हमें अपनी धरती की सुंदरता से प्यार करना और उसकी कद्र करना सिखाती है।

Set in the future, this story is told by a grandfather to his grandchildren. In his time, living on the Moon, flying in spaceships and eating food-pills is completely normal. He tells the children how, in the old days, people lived on Earth with green trees, rivers, rain, gardens and home-cooked food. The children are amazed at how different life used to be. Remembering all this, the grandfather happily says, 'Those days were really wonderful days.' The story makes us love and value the beauty of our Earth.

Through an imaginative future world, the story makes us realise how precious and beautiful our Earth is, and tells us to value nature and the simple joys of life.
