स्वामी की दादी

स्वामी एक छोटा-सा लड़का है जो अपनी बूढ़ी दादी से बहुत प्यार करता है और रात को अपने मन की सारी बातें उन्हें बताता है। एक दिन वह उत्साह से अपने नए दोस्त राजम के बारे में बताता है, जो अमीर है, बहादुर है और फ़र्राटेदार अंग्रेज़ी बोलता है। स्वामी दादी को बोलने का मौका दिए बिना लगातार राजम की तारीफ़ करता रहता है। अपने उत्साह में वह इतना बोलता है कि थकी हुई बूढ़ी दादी गहरी नींद में सो जाती हैं। यह कहानी प्यार से एक बच्चे के मासूम प्रेम और दादी के धैर्यवान, स्नेही स्वभाव को दिखाती है।

Swami is a small boy who loves his old grandmother dearly and shares all his thoughts with her at night. One day he excitedly tells her about his new friend Rajam, who is rich, brave and speaks fluent English. Swami praises Rajam endlessly without giving his grandmother a chance to speak. In his excitement he talks so much that the tired old grandmother falls fast asleep. The story sweetly shows a child's innocent love and the patient, loving nature of a grandmother.
