Know this. From June 2026 CSEET is no longer a 2-hour online multiple-choice test; it is a four-day written exam with three descriptive papers, so older prep material and 'easy entrance' advice are out of date.

- Admits you to
- Entry to the CS Executive Programme, the first stage of the Company Secretary course after Class 12. Graduates, postgraduates, CA Intermediate and CMA Final pass students (and final-year UG students, provisionally) are exempt and register directly for CS Executive.
- Who can sit
- Indian nationals who have passed or are appearing in Class 12 (or equivalent). You must complete ICSI's Student Induction Programme before enrolling for the exam.
- Pattern
- Restructured from the June 2026 session: a pen-and-paper exam over four days at centres in major cities. Business Communication, Fundamentals of Accounting and Economic and Business Environment are descriptive papers of 100 marks and 3 hours each; Business Laws and Management (60 + 40 marks) is an OMR paper of 2 hours with no negative marking. To pass you need at least 40% in each paper and 50% aggregate in one sitting; no paper-wise exemption or carry-forward.
- When
- Three sessions a year, held in the first week of February, June and October; results in March, July and November respectively.
- Limits
- No age limit is set. CSEET registration is valid for three years; a pass result is valid for one year, within which you must register for CS Executive.
