- Non-technical Group C railway jobs, notified as two separate CENs. Graduate level: Station Master, Goods Train Manager, Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Traffic Assistant. Undergraduate (Class 12) level: Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Trains Clerk.
- Who can sit
- Graduate-level posts need a bachelor's degree; undergraduate-level posts need Class 12 (with 50% for general candidates for some clerk posts). Age limits are usually 18–33 for graduate posts and 18–30 for undergraduate posts, with category relaxations; the exact band is fixed in each CEN.
- Pattern
- Computer-based tests in stages: CBT-1 (common screening: mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, general awareness; about 100 questions in 90 minutes, one-third mark negative), CBT-2 (post-level, about 120 questions in 90 minutes), then a typing skill test for typist/clerk posts or a computer-based aptitude test for Station Master and Traffic Assistant, followed by document verification and medical examination.
- When
- Irregular; recent cycles were notified in late 2024 and again in October–November 2025, with CBTs spread over the following year.
- Limits
- No attempt limit; age bands per CEN apply.
