Admits you to

First Degree programmes (B.E., M.Sc. and B.Pharm.) at BITS Pilani's Pilani, K K Birla Goa and Hyderabad campuses, and a few 2+2 joint programmes with partner universities abroad. BITS says it has no management quota or other entry route, apart from direct admission for state and central board toppers.

Who can sit

Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board with at least five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and a language. For B.E. and M.Sc.: at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with at least 60% in each. For B.Pharm and B.E. Environmental and Sustainability Engineering, Biology can replace Mathematics under the same 75%/60% rule. You must be appearing for Class 12 this year or have passed it last year.

Pattern

Computer-based test, 3 hours, 130 multiple-choice questions: Physics 30, Chemistry 30, English Proficiency 10, Logical Reasoning 20, and Mathematics 40 (or Biology for B.Pharm, Environmental Engg. and M.Sc. Biological Sciences). +3 for a correct answer, -1 for a wrong one. If you answer all 130 in time you may attempt 12 extra questions, but can then no longer change earlier answers.

When

Two sessions: usually mid-April and late May. Admission and iterations run over June–July.

Limits

You may sit one or both sessions in a year; the higher score counts. Only candidates who are in Class 12 this year or passed it last year are eligible, so effectively two admission cycles.
