Know this. Passing NATA does not by itself make you eligible for B.Arch; you also need Physics and Mathematics in Class 12 with 45% aggregate, and each state counselling body adds its own rules.

- Admission to the five-year B.Arch degree at colleges across India, through state and institute counselling (CAP rounds). JEE Main Paper 2A is the other accepted route; IITs use JEE Advanced plus their own AAT.
- Who can sit
- To sit NATA you must have passed or be appearing in Class 12, or a 10+3 diploma with Mathematics. To be admitted to B.Arch, CoA's rule is: Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics compulsory plus one of Chemistry, Biology, a technical vocational subject, Computer Science, IT, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics or Business Studies, with at least 45% aggregate; or a 10+3 diploma with Mathematics and 45% aggregate.
- Pattern
- 200 marks in two parts. Part A, Drawing and Composition (pen and paper, 90 minutes, 80 marks): three questions on composition and colour, sketching, and a 3D composition from a kit. Part B (computer-based adaptive test, 90 minutes, 120 marks): 42 MCQs and 8 numerical-answer questions on visual reasoning, logical derivation, general knowledge of architecture and design, language, design sensitivity and basic mathematics. Offered in English and Hindi.
- When
- Phase 1 runs on several dates from about April to June; a smaller Phase 2 is usually held in August for seats still vacant after counselling.
- Limits
- Up to two attempts in Phase 1 (best raw score counts) or one attempt in Phase 2. The score is valid for that academic year only. No age limit is set in the brochure.
