Track form submissions

We need form submission tracking for the trial signup form by Wednesday so Sales can prioritize leads. Capture submit_event named trial_form_submit with email and plan in the payload, validate success only on the thank-you page or confirmation response, confirm events show in realtime, and let Carlos in Sales know when it’s live.

Before we instrument form submission tracking for the trial signup, make approval easy: show whether we’ll detect submissions by submit event, XHR success, or thank-you page view; provide example payloads with email and plan; estimate expected submit volume this week; and flag anything that might make Carlos hesitate to trust lead counts.

The trial_form_submit events are appearing but Sales says most events lack email in the payload. I’m not sure whether the form field name changed, the script reads before the field populates, or privacy rules strip the email. What three checks should I run now so I can give Carlos a clear diagnosis and next step?
