About the author: Balkrishna Sharma 'Naveen' (1897-1960) was a renowned Hindi poet and freedom fighter. He was a leading poet of the 'Chhayavad' and 'Rashtriya-dhara' (national stream) of Hindi poetry. Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and the freedom struggle, he wrote fiery, revolutionary poems that awakened the spirit of patriotism and rebellion against injustice.
